Terms & Conditions

  • Lessons will only be given once the fully completed application form available from this website or the teacher is completed.
  • You will need to pay for four (4) lessons up front. All fees to be settled prior to any lessons given. No Payment No Lessons!
  • Lesson duration may be determined by the teacher to suit individual needs.
  • Kindly note that students are requested to arrive five minutes before lessons are due to start. Students who arrive late will only receive tuition for the remainder of the time.
  • Cancellations made by the student within the booking period are non-refundable.
  • If the tutor is unavailable to provide a scheduled lesson due to illness, notice will be given and the lesson will be made up or a credit to the value of the lesson will apply.
  • Students will not be invoiced for any lesson that the Tutor is not able to teach due to a planned absence.
  • A Doctor’s certificate must be provided if a student is absent due to illness to reschedule a lesson time.
  • Lessons missed due to school outings will only be rescheduled if prior arrangement with the teacher is made well in advance.
  • Students will only be entered for examinations, competitions, eisteddfods etc. if their work is of the required standard. Entries can only be made once the relevant fees have been paid.
  • Accompanist services (if required) will be charged directly to the person responsible for fees.
  • Should a student need to hire an instrument, the teacher will not be responsible for obtaining such instrument as the contract will be between the lessee and the lessor.
  • A full month’s written notice will be required before terminating lessons.
  • The student, if over 18, otherwise the parent, is responsible for any loss or damage occurring to any instrument, accessory or music lent by the tutor to the student.
  • The student, if over 18, otherwise the parent, is responsible for the insurance of their own instrument.
  • The student, if over 18, otherwise the parent, is to inform their tutor of any medical, or other, condition that may affect a lesson and/or a performance.
  • Cause for Applause Music Academy only accepts responsibility for the safety of students (if under 18) once they are under the supervision of the tutor within the classroom. We do not provide supervision for any persons whilst on the premises and outside of the classroom.
  • Cause for Applause Music Academy carries appropriate Public Liability Insurance.
  • All equipment kept at Cause for Applause Music Academy, and provided by us when in a public place, is the property of Cause for Applause Music Academy and must not be handled or used in any way without our permission.
  • These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time.
  • Students may be photographed and these images may be used for promotional purposes including publication on our Website and via social and local media, and leaflet/brochure advertising.
  • Live performances given by students may be recorded and/or filmed for promotional purposes including publication on our website and via social media, and CD/DVD distribution.
  • Right of admission is reserved at all times.
